Jewish Arts and Bookfest
Sunday, May 4, 2025

at UC Berkeley’s Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life, 2121 Allston Way, Berkeley,  CA

How do we carry what’s broken? Reflecting on the broken tablets that were placed in the Ark of the Covenant, participants will create handmade zines with collage and writing.

This workshop is accessible to all skill levels and is divided into three parts: opening discussion, creating, and closing reflection. Participants are given a blank handmade zine (booklet) and invited to use collage with colored paper and markers to respond to the discussion questions and prompts on the source sheet.
