Our contemporary art piece will consist of dozens of 1 inch glass “gems” made by participants of all ages using simple, failure-proof art materials.
Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this fun project facilitated by artist Nancy Katz.
About the Artist: Nancy Katz
Nancy Katz is a seasoned Jewish artist and arts educator who has recently returned to the Bay Area after nearly a 20 year absence.
For many years she created painted silk tallitot with community members in her creekside Berkeley studio and facilitated art experiences with organizations and institutions throughout the area and beyond.
In 2005, after moving across the country, she met her life partner (in Texas of all places!) with whom she has since designed multiple stained glass windows which they have installed in residences, synagogues, and other public spaces.
Nancy is more than delighted to be back by the Bay and to share its beauty and rich. creative community with her husband, Mark Liebowitz.
