Cohen (Mordecai Simon) letters and marriage contract, 1888-1889.

Three letters written by Mordecai Simon Cohen in Yiddish with Hebrew quotations and traditional messages for the New Year (Rosh Hashanah). One letter is from Cohen to his son, Pinchas Zelig Cohen, and his family; another to Mordecai Simon Cohen’s friend, Moshe ben Avraham Simon, the president of Congregation Tiferet Yisrael; and the third (which exists only in fragments) is to an unknown addressee about the meaning of Rosh Hashanah. The collection also contains a marriage contract written in Hebrew by Moshe ben Avraham Simon
