International Museum Day 2021: “The Future of Museums: Recover and Reimagine”

The Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life welcomes you to celebrate International Museum Day with us. As one of the world’s preeminent Jewish collections, our diverse archive, library and museum holdings include art, objects, texts, music, and historical documents about the Jews in the Global Diaspora and the American West.

The objective of International Museum Day, organized by the International Council of Museums (ICOM), is to raise awareness about the fact that, “Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples.”

We invite you to learn more about the innovative and accessible resources that we provide to both researchers and the general public by enjoying our recent programing, browsing images from our past exhibitions, and exploring our notable collection.

Your generosity enables the The Magnes Collection to continue to thrive as a treasured resource that advances research, scholarship, and innovation by providing a rich annual program of exhibitions, research opportunities, and educational and cultural programs.

Keep Up-To-Date
